Hi new to the forum and I have a few questions regarding shipping into CA. I recently acquired a SKS and am interested in starting to collect.

-Is it legal to have them shipped to ca from other states (doing the proper FFL transfers thru dealers) I heard a rumor that any SKS sales can be only done with SKS's already here in Ca.

-Do I have to remove the bayonet (I have a 68 paratrooper) I am unclear as to if it is illegal to still have one on your rifle

Thanks for taking the time

bayonets are legal.

You'll need to be sure that any SKS you order from out of state doesn't have a grenade launcher. CA has more stringent rules and considers them destructive devices.

Otherwise, yes, you can have them shipped into a receiving FFL. If the rifles are C&R you can also get your C&R FFL and have them shipped directly to you.
