I have some Bear Creek .45 230 Grain RN and Bullseye powder.

However the reloading manual(Lyman) showes loads based on a 225 Grain LRN. Is it ok to use this load for the 230 gr. bullet? Would I need to make any adjustmants?

Typically 225g & 230g would use the same loading data.

The manual lists a starting load of 4.0gn and a max of 5.0gn.

I was planning on using the starting load and work up from there.

I have an IPSC load of 4.2 gr of Titewad, 1.230 OAL with a 200 gr Bear Creek Moly, WLP. Nice soft shooter. you can reduce your recoil spring to 15-16 pounds and the sight just flips up and back down on target.
