I found a good price for Springfield 1911 loaded parkerized online. Even though the model says PX9109LP, the site asks my FFL to call them to confirm my FFL can transfer it. My FFL then says DOJ requires the box to say PX9109LPCA ?!! I'm a bit shocked even though the roster only says PX9109L. This is really confusing.

Has anyone had experience with this before? Thanks!

I found several sites that advertised the normal model PX9109LP and also a PX9109LPC , yes the roster says PX9109L.

I just ordered a PX9109LPCA from Tooele shooters supply , stated in description CA Compliant, it was about $40 or $50 more than the non "Ca" model.

I paid $745, + $9.95 shipping.

They don't show it in stock now.

But numerous sites have both CA and non CA loaded models listed.

I'm sure the model on the gun is the same, if I checked with different FFLs here I probably could have had a firearm sent to the dealer without the box and they would have transferred it regardless of what the box said

id recommend finding one locally. Even if you pay a bit more it's worth it not to deal with the hassle of transferring. Besides, after transfer fees and potential shipping costs, the price ends up being pretty close most of the time.

At this point, I think if they say they cannot ship it to my FFL, I'll need to find one locally later. Thanks guys.

Locally for me it was $899 plus the dealer I use adds in a $10 dealer fee, so it was $909.99 plus tax and DROS fees, put it at $1008 Otd. I'm at 875 OTD, so $133 made it worth buying online, also my LGS was currently out of stock.
The gun doesn't have the model number on it, it just says 1911 A1, the box on mine is shown below, my FFL scrolled through the roster and said ok well looks like it's going to be PX9109L, so I think even if I bought the one on line that was PX9109LP, he wouldn't of cared and would have transfered it.

I'm sure the issue is the ILS. I originally ordered online and EMP with the correct SKU. Unfortunately, it didn't come with and ILS MSH and the box conspicuously noted "Not CA Compliant". I subsequently did find a CA compliant EMP online.

SA no longer installs ILS mainspring housings in their non-CA handguns which has not further limited the number SA 1911s online that we can purchase.

I'm sure the issue is the ILS. I originally ordered online and EMP with the correct SKU. .

I bought a Mil Spec from Buds early this year, it was drosed though Baboosh. The case had a white sticker on it that read (Not on Ca DOJ roster) The gun didn't have the ILS and I'm guessing this one slipped by.

Regardless, I'd check with Baboosh and see if they can get you one. The ILS has got to be the problem
