I met this guy a few weeks ago and again this evening.

http://www.knightforassembly.com/wb/

He is currently an LAPD officer in a gang detail. We talked politics for a few minutes when I asked him his opinion on gun control. The first words he said were, " One of my first acts in office will be to reform the ccw system. There is no reason why honest, law abiding citizens shouldn't be able to carry a gun if they want to." I was a little taken back. I know one man can't do it all and there is a long row to hoe but I am happy to see somebody committed to something like this without any prompting.
We continued to talk and it was clear to me he is on board. We discussed ab 2062 and sb 1171 and some of the more pressing issues facing gun owners and he took my email address and promised to look into them. I expressed concern over liberal assembly men like DeLeon and others and he pretty clearly opposes them. Obviously guns are not the only issue, he seems to be very fiscally conservative and a fairly right leaning candidate. If you live in or near the Antelope valley(district 36), I urge you to look at Mr. Knight.

That is great, I hope he wins. We need someone in there to re-open the CCW reform issue. A CCW reform bill passed the Assembly ten years ago. It's a shame we've moved backwards in the years since then.

Hey it would also be wonderful if he would run for LA sheriff.

I told him that. He said he couldn't deal with the lobotomy.
