So I was in the Bay Area Gun Vault (http://www.bayareagunvault.com/) picking up a 19-4 snub nose recently, when I saw this baby, and had to have her. It was a consignment piece, and the price was $699. After getting her out of 10-day jail, I discovered there were papers and the the bronze brush under the lower case liner (hadn't even bothered to look).

Serial number puts this gun around 1976 according to the SCSW. The gun has been fired, but very, very, little. Blueing is excellent all the way around.

Many thanks for the BAGV -- you guys are awesome. I look forward to seeing more S&W's on your shelves!

Enjoy, and cheers-
Neill

...and the obligatory vanity pose, with its 27-3 6" cousin, and 4" 28-2 Highway Patrolman.

:p

And I think I remember why -- you, Kurac, and myself are due for a 5" 27-2 shoot 'n lunch sometime.

Hey that would be cool to see how many M27s we could get in one spot at once.

Excellent find Neill. I would love to find a 5" to go with my 3 1/2" 4-screw 27.

Luuuv the picture with the church books... "Bible and a Gun" like Mr. Cash said.

I saw that very gun (or extremely similar) for sale for $900.00 at Vallejo GS. Dude would not come down a cent. I see he wised up, to your benefit.

Nice nickel, Popgun!!!

I recently couldn't close a deal on a nickel 27-2 in the Valley...seller wanted ~$800 on Gunbroker, we dickered around $700, and it finally went for $650 while I was out of town.

They are gorgeous -- great photos, and great guns!
