S&W Model 1917 made in 1919. Still is capable of ringing the 50 yard plate--
(I'm not saying that I can do it all the time) ;^)

This (new) Kahr sat in the display case for a year. I got it for a reduced price.
I don't know why these aren't more popular on the West Coast as it shoots well and is very concealable.

Actually it's just parkerized. Just the photo lying to us. You should have seen the condition it was in when I got it.

Because they can also give you a lot of quality issues, and it takes some months to work them out. I know, I own one :)

Nice collection! Eventually I'll find myself one of those S&W 1917s. Probably a P6 as well.

I had 1 FTE during the first 50 rounds and none after that. I have ran around 400+ through it. Maybe you just got a bad one?

I most certainly did. I had 1 out of 3 rounds misfire initially (the firing pin hit the primer, but it didn't fire. And no, I didn't use reloads, I used Winchester white box, which worked just fine in my other 9mm), plus a couple of FTEs per 50. I called Kahr and got the usual crap about break-in period. The problem somewhat subsides after 150 rounds (of which about 100 actually fired), to the point where out of the subsequent 250 rounds only about 15-17 misfired. Calling Kahr only brought about the "it takes more than the 200 rounds for some guns". The next time I came to the range, One in 3 misfired again. I shot about 15 of them (well, about 10, really), and that was when I had enough. I called Kahr telling them that they either get their product back, or fix it, and do that quickly, or get their product back through our wonderful court system. They chose to fix it, and sure enough, after 1.5 months in the shop and replacing the slide assembly, it shoots fine now. Only misfired one out of about 200. Still too much, in my opinion, but I hope it'll work itself out. If not, well, back to Kahr it goes.

When it does shoot though, it's quite accurate, especially for something this small. The grip is rather small, but it doesn't bother me. It bothers my girlfriend though, she says it bites into her hand, so she doesn't shoot it. :)

Nick, You undoubtedly have a problem gun there. I certainly hope that they have fixed it and that it causes you no more aggravation.

Those are some cocobolo grips that I got from cdnn and sanded the checkering off to narrrow them, then finished with Tru-oil.
