my grand dad came by today and gave me a Sears model 3T .22 rifle. marcks on the rifle say that it will shoot .22 Long Rifle, .22 short, and .22 long. aside from a small crack in the receiver, the rifle is in good congition. i was wondering if any of you guys knows how to field strip it. the only reason i ask is that a few moths ago i had a bad experience field stripping a rimington 550-1.

and now some pic's of my new .22

The Sears Model 3T should be the Winchester Model 190, although the back of the receiver on the 190 looks a little different from your rifle.

A nice gentleman has posted the takedown instructions for the Winchester Model 190 on the internet...

Take a look and see if those instructions will work for your Sears 3T.

That crack in the reciever looks pretty bad. I would be careful about shooting it.
