Would you go with German or Lithuanian Nato 7.62x51?

Also

What is the difference between Wolf Military Classic and Wolf Performance?

Lithuanian is actually cheaper. The brass is reloadable, so if you pick it all up you could actually sell 1000 pieces of boxer primed brass for about $100.

The German .308 has superior ballistic properties. The stuff is well known for the fact that it fragments well and consistently. Assuming you were buying it for self defense ammo, that would be the way to go.

According to ammoman.com it's the other way around. German is cheaper. $40 less per 500rds. Lithuanian is said to be near match grade ammo. But then again they say the German is brass cased and ther pictures look like bi-metal that is not well blended.

Also on the Wolf Performance vs Military Classic. This is still not clear to me. Someone told me that the performance is boxer primed and the military is berdan. Both boxes say Berdan primed.

Also the German is 70's-80's production and the Lituanian is '03-'04 production. Does this make a difference?

So I figured out the difference between the performance and military classic...

Performance is 63fps faster
Military Classic is supposedly the only one that will fragment after contact.(hp only)
Both are Berdan Primed unless you get and old box of Performance that is boxer primed.
Both are Polymer coated unless you get and old box of Military Classic that is laquered.

The jury is still out on the 7.62x51 comparison.

Lith is pretty good stuff---it shoots very well in my FAL, have gotten
5 shot 2.5" groups @100 with it(iron sites). It is non magnetic also. Is
the German stuff non magnetic? Does the German have the NATO+?
Lith may be NATO spec but does NOT have the cross+ because
Lithuania is not a NATO country. Pete
