Two months ago, wouldn't have an OLL within a mile of my house. Today:

TWO LMT MRP CQB

Height of 4X Acog allows use of sights -- but fugs eye relief because must be mounted ahead of LMT rear sight.

Do you guys use the Acog with NO sights or with only flip up BUIS?

This mount should help for eye relief:

If you absolutely need a BUIS, you can mount it forward of the ACOG like the canadians do with their elcans.

Does anyone have a pic in their photobucket of the BUIS mounted AHEAD of the ACOG?

Why wouldn't you have OLL within a mile of your house before?
PS The pics in your threads are always awesome.

Not too good of a picture but you can see the fixed BUIS mounted ahead of the Elcan on the guy on the left's C8.

See it. Wouldn't work with these GIANT LMT rear sights but a nice GG&G flip up would be good.

It seems like from the on set of infection to full blown BRD is only a couple of days. I have seen cases that have progressed to full BRD in minutes.

You're using a carbine stock. Shorten it down and move your optic forward, then put the BUIS underneath.

I was just looking at pics of BUIS mounted forward a couple days ago... wish I could find them now for you. I can't remember what I was searching when I found them. Matechs, mostly.

Here's a KAC 300m out front

Very nice rifles. How do you like the Leupold CQT? I have been looking into them but I don't see them around too much. The Leupold seems like a good option instead of an Aimpoint and magnifier (cheaper and less mounts to buy).

Interested in one of these as well. Gonna probably keep my Aimpoint M4 , but selling the magnifier and swivel mount if I can ever get off my *** and list it.

It's very bright, very clear -- it's basically the 1.1-5 MRT scope in an armored "tactical" body. Very SHARP optic but it is NOT a parallax free red dot, just a tactical scope. Very rugged. Very HIGH mount. Cheek piece called for, but if your stock is set up right it ROCKS.

What is this a reference to? That I wouldn't have an OLL near my house? My usual gunstores (three of them) wouldn't touch them. Even today I had a guy tell me that they have a customer whose OLL was confiscated and he has spent 40K on leal fees to get it back.

I said the gun's worth $1500 why send 30K -- is he facing charges, had other stuff confiscated.

They didn't know.

That's because they're making it up. Gun store employees make up almost as much stuff as gun rag writers. ;) :p :D

I couldn't resist, buddy.

The best thing to say is, "Do you have their name or docket info - I'm writing a report on just these incidences! I'd love to add this one to it." I've got $50 he hems and haws, or it's our beloved Matt Corwin.

Calguns is pretty damned aware of these things.

I used to write the letters in PENTHOUSE FORUM.

Seriously.

Just switched "breasts" to "Bullets" and could use all my old articles.

I thought they were ILLEGAL. Now I know they are compliant.

It's ok... you can say "legal." It means the same thing as compliant. ;)

I want you to put the PWS brake on your MRP with and without the GP and tell me if you can feel a difference between the two. Then no brake. Do a blind "shoot test" and see if anyone can tell.

X-NewYawker

I now have GP MRP and "straight" DI MRP -- I have to go shoot them at Angeles (maybe tomorrow?) and see if I can feel the difference.

Do it with the same muzzle device - even swap them. Different bakes/suppressors can make a huge difference.

Would be interesting info - since you're probably one of the 1st in the state to have both.

I'm shooting them WITHOUT the Rebar cutter -- just their factory "muzzle brake."

You have been on this board since may and just found out OLL are legal?..

well anyways, congrats on your new rifles.

Knowing they were legal and actually wanting one are two different things. I was in a JAE-M1-A phase.

Finally decided to get one. Or seven.

Shooting the Addax GPU finally convinced me.

I do but it all depends on how many guns you have, and whether or not you would let me shoot em, ammo on your own dime.:)
