So I sorted my stag LPK, and I found 3 takedown pin detents. Do the manufacturers give a spare or two out of courtesy, or did I get lucky?

Its the luck of the draw.

Ive gotten LPKs with extras here and there.

I also got one that was missing the disconnector. The way I see it, it all evens itself out :D

There could be extra parts?
I just kept stuffing them in holes until I ran out. :)

Lucky...mine was missing the grip screw.

Not a bad part to be missing, though, considering a substitute can be bought at the hardware store.

Actually, the Stag LPK's are pretty consistent in the inclusion of an extra detent.

I bought a Doublestar one off MidwayUSA and it showed up with no grip, no grip screw, no spring for the little buffer retainer thingy, and 3 takedown pins. So yeah luck of the draw I guess :( Lucky for me I have a nearby hardware store with lots of springs and screws. Never had that with DPMS kits though.

My Stag LPK also came with an extra. I think they put it in because they know it will probably go shooting across the room.

I got a few Stag LPKs and they all had extra detents. One was missing the trigger guard though :(

Whew, seems like I got lucky in not being shorted a part! :D

GRR! They gave me two pivot pins instead of a rear takedown pin. Anyone close to Rowland heights have a spare?
