This guy is making some really great stuff and is right in our backyard.

http://www.centurionarms.com/

Picked up one of his 18" dealios and it shoots consistent sub MOA.

Is it me or are his uppers a bit overpriced? Im trying to figure out what makes them twice what other uppers go for...

How are they over priced?

His parts that are listed are good quality and EXPENSIVE.

I'd want to know about the steel of his barrels, whether they're MPI tested, etc.

They're pricey, not overpriced.

as an example, this:
# Centurion Arms 18" MK12 Mod1 5.56mm stainless barrel, 1 in 7" twist ($270)
# M4 Extended feed ramps ($105 for the upper)
# Pinned gas block ($60)
# 12in Daniel Defense Lite rail handguard ($350)
# Rifle length gas tube ($15)
# Auto bolt carrier ($135 for complete BCG)
# MPI tested bolt
# Forged charging handle ($20)
# AAC 3 prong black out flash hider ($80)

Price out the parts and you're at what he charges - $1100

If you just want to blow rounds out the end of a barrel then yes.

If you want the absolute best performance that money can buy and appreciate putting rounds through the same whole @ 100yds then he is spot on.

Looks like a great company. You get what you pay for. Sales tax blows though haha for us CA people, have a relative buy it out of state and then ship it to you.
