Just bought a yhm smooth carbine upper with flip-up BUIS and front post. Smooth bottom with rails all the way around on the front. RRA LPK, BB and Stag standard collapsible buttstock with it. Once I get it, I'll get a range report out for ya.

I hope the OP doesn't mind if I post a picture while we wait for his. I've installed a few of those. It works well with the standard front sight base and with the YHM flip sight tower. Nice and smooth where you put your hand and with the rails in all the right places to install flashlight, laser, bipod - may be a bit too far foreward for a vertical grip though.

Yeah, I'm hoping to do a harris 9" bipod and either a FACOG or a basic 3-9x40 scope for the short run, until I can save enough to get a nice scope

Interesting - can you install that handguard upside down?

Not with a sight on the front base.

I like mine.

I like mine. It's a bit heavy for what it is. But it's what I wanted. Dead nuts solid, with no rails to have to grab around.

Wow, DB2 I think we've got the same rifle minus the CTR stock. I really went back and forth on that but decided on a stag M4 stock instead (strictly being cheap on this build) BTW did anybody buy a YHM barrel with it, or just the handguards? I went all the way with the YHM stuff and got their fluted barrel with phantom suppressor, and the whole she-bang. I'll tell you how the YHM barrel shoots compared to the RRA elite comp when it comes in. I've been shooting a bushmaster upper with 1/9 twist and the complete new elite comp with 30 rounders and standard mag release because my buddy is LEO and the punk has the ability to own all the goodies, in fact they're issued.
