I would like to buy this rifle. I wonder if anyone has one in stock or if they can be ordered? Im hoping a Bullet Button will fit it too.

I think it's Remingtons version of the AR10

Most everyone has been sold out for months... No idea when Remington will get caught up..

It's just a DPMS .308 AR re-dressed. I've seen quite a few on Gun Broker and on ARF.com. Bullet buttons will fit. It's just your standard AR mag release.

It was my understanding that they are made by Bushmaster since the same company owns both Bushmaster and Remington.

The mega company Cereberus Capital Management, L.P. owns Bushmaster, Remington, DPMS, Marlin, and H&R Firearms .

The R25 is really a DPMS .308
The R15 is really a Bushmaster .223

I stand corrected thanks for the information. Didn't know that they owned DPMS, Marlen and H&R.

This is correct:

The R25 is really a DPMS .308
The R15 is really a Bushmaster .223

You're welcome. I like the fact that they're marked Remington, but I wish you could choose a black model.

Last time I was at Cabelas in Reno (two or three weeks) they had an R-25 sitting there along with a couple R-15s. Not sure how you'd get it from them though, I guess you'd have to have it shipped to a shop who could install a bullet buton on it before shipping it to your FFL.

This is good to know. I knew the Bushmaster .308 was a failure and I thought that was what Remington did. Now that we know it is a DPMS, that makes it better.

I ordered an R25 from a shop in Nebraska and am having it shipped to the guy in the contact info below. Adam is installing a bullet button and shipping to my local California FFL. This is a legal transaction. He is VERY reasonably priced. His services are greatly needed for Californians.

The original Bushmaster 308 was designed by Rock River and Bushmaster bought the production rights.
After they failed to get the heat treating right, they relinquished the rights back to RRA.
RRA spent a few more years making adjustments to the design and now sells them as the LAR-8.
