Got out yesterday with my DPMS 20" A2 upper on a Stag lower with the new CMMG two stage trigger on a bench rest at 100yds. Burris 3-9x scope. My reloads with 31gr of H335, 123gr Hornady FMJ, new Winchester brass and WLR primers. Only a little wind. Man, I love the CMMG trigger!

Anyone know where to find a .310 diameter 123-125gr boat tail bullet for 7.62x39? Might be able to do even better.

Go ahead and laugh at my scope on the carry handle! Works for me.

I bought mine used on GB since I couldn't find any currently in stock anywhere.

I did find this. Not familiar with Olympic QC:

Ok, just proof that you can shoot sub MOA with 7.62x39. Looks like nobody cares except me :D

Sweet group. It's nice to see what 7.62x39 can do when properly loaded and shot from a well-made rifle! :)

How far out? I'm assuming 100 yards?

Pretty nice patterning. It'd be cool to see your handloads next to some out-of-the-box Wolf or Barnaul just to get a comparrison.

I haven't doubted it since I got my AK. On two or three different AKs I've shot, at 50 yards from a bench I've been able to make groups with touching holes while sighting in. And that's with cheap ammo: Wolf, Barnaul, Golden Tiger, etc.

Who doubted that? Hand loading can do miracles. :) Nice shooting and loading.

What barrel length/profile?

I finally spent the $ and bought the Bell & Carlson CVT cheek rest for this rifle. Very solid and easily adjustable. Now I can get a solid cheek weld with my setup.

Yep. No one doubts it and nothing wrong with x39 when it is handloaded. Especially out of an x39 upper. Good shooting.

The problem is with surplus ammo.

Nice work -- the bad rap on x39 accuracy is a combo of the widely available rifles (AK, SKS) and mediocre-quality ammo (mil-surp, Wolf).
My Colt x39 carbine upper suggests similar accuracy (but not quite as good) with Fiocchi ammo. Looking to take out a couple flavors of handloads to Angeles soon.

Why are they considered bad? Please elaborate as their pricing seems phenomenal.
