I was watching a program on tv and they has a Mossberg tactical semi auto shotgun used by the police, military, and for home defense. Anyone know what this gun is? Any pictures?

Was it the 930 SPX? Kinda looks like a FN SLP.

Don`t know what it was. The show has the typical black ops type of guy enter a staged home, shoot the hinges off the door, etc. I like the idea of a tactical semiauto. No pumping to do. One could still operate the weapon with one hand if need be.

I've heard you never shoot a shotgun single-handed, unless you want to be bopped in the head.

You've heard wrong. It's not that bad just not a prefered method.

You probably saw the 930 Tactical because it has the breacher barrel
Alot of people on here have had good reviews of the 930 SPX though
I want to get the combo because I want a semi for trap shooting and I love mossbergs...LOL

ive HAD a 930 spx, good autoloader for the money, Ive got a HK (they used to import them) benelli super 90 M1 entry and the feel of the 2 is like night and day. In fact if you take them apart theyre very similar but the mossebergs got more parts. Like I said, good for the money

Whats the cost of a 930SPX? Can you change the barrel on it?

I've fired my old Mossberg 500 12g with one hand twice. The first time I had no problem. The second time my hand was sweaty and the shotgun jumped out of my hand and I caught it with one hand. That was the last time I ever tried that.

It was really weird.

Bought a 930 and love it. Just adding a pistol grip stock and mag extender.

Question...I've stripped it down to the tube, so how do I proceed in getting the old spring out? There is a cap at the fwd end with two points that deprees the spring. Where do I go from here?

Total magazine capacity must be 10 rounds or less.

Pistol grip stock is OK, IF AND ONLY IF you do not have an adjustable/collapsible or folding stock. Combination of pistol grip and adjustable/folding stock on a semi-auto shotgun creates an AW. One or the other is fine, but both are a No-Go, and will result in time spent in a CA-pound-me-where-the-sun-don't-shine prison.
