I've just been bitten by the STG 556 bug and have the urge to sell the DE for this.

Why should I? Anyone else get their hands on an STG 556 from MSAR? What do ya think?

It will not meet OAL unless you get a 20" bbl.

That's the 20 inch up there. I like it, I think the longer barrel makes it look more balanced.

I don't know about that rifle, but I would definitely sell it. Leave the Desert Eagles to the newbs.

I brought the first MSAR into California. Oh yes, I love my rifle. Mine has the 16" barrel. That 20" barrel is oh so sexy. I must get one.

Ahh, just the person I was waiting for to reply. More details on your's please. How's the trigger pull? Did you pick up the special trigger pull reducer?

I just got the 20" OD green w/ the optics. I love it. The balance is great. The trigger pull isn't bad at all. I ordered the trigger pull reducer (which they never sent - or I never received) so I canceled the order. I felt the rifle didn't need it.
even the RADDlock isn't too bad (better than the tiny little stem and whole they use in the USC or SL-8"

Well worth the purchase!

Do it - DE is for craps and giggles, you'll actually get use out this one.

Can't tell you about the MSAR - Being that it's a clone, I have a 16" on my AUG and I love it - Quick and compact.

I went with a lefty bolt on my AUG - Spits it out the other side - I love that thing.

The ejection port and bolt are convertible for lefties.

Very nice! You'll definetly like it, it is an awesome rifle. I shot it a couple times in AZ with the 16'' barrel, I now got the fake suppressor on it. I am not crazy about fake suppressors but if that's what it takes to shoot it in CA. Also my Raddlock was easy to install and it locks in the mags very tight, I have to hold in the tool and depress the release while pulling out the mag.

A long time ago, I owned a Steyr USR (AUG in a different stock) and it shot about 2 MOA out of a 16in barrel with the 1.5 power factory scope/handle.

Very nice. I shot Grant's at Area52 and really loved the feel. Trigger pull was just fine for a bullpup, I'd say somewhere between an AR and AK trigger in terms of quality. It's a very fun blaster that I want as well ;).
I'd go for a 20" instead of a 16" + fake can on one if given the choice.

ARFan: why do you have the optic mounted so far back on the rail?

Liked the gun, didn't like the optic.

Congrats, man. Nice pick, again!

Becuz I feel comfortable with this optic at that distance for eye release
Anway, I have not shot it yet and included all the guns I had in the pic.
Too busy with work; family and went to deep fishing for the rest of summer. I will check them out during the winter time :)
