Hey guys,

I have developed two loads for my rifle. I roll the 175 SMK in LC match brass with CCI BR2s. With 41 grns of varget I'm looking at 2500 fps during the summer and with 43.5 grains of varget I'm looking at 2626 fps. I was wondering what kind of fps loss I could expect to see in these loads during colder times of year. I tested these loads on days in excess of 106 F.

Varget? Essentially zero.

Ball powder would be another matter entirely.

You will see no decrease in vecoity at the muzzle.. but it'll slow down faster over a distance due to higher air density.
