Unless you're restoring a war time Garand, why not buy a brand new barrel?

I have a couple of CMP receivers that need barrels, I have one new unissued USGI in tube but needed another. And these VAR are reputed some of the most accurate barrels ever made. Garands w/ VAR barrels are sought after by a certain group.

You can get the same barrel from the CMP for $179

support CMP when ever possible, they do a great job for us. the CMP Garand is probably the best Military Surplus deal out there today.

Yep. I had 3 CMP Garands a few years ago. I sold 2 since I wasn't shooting them all. I will always regret that decision.

If anyone happens to run across one, I'm looking for a Springfield 3-44 barrel
