So I got a DS lower, ready to be built. I was thinking about getting the stag 6HL Varmit Left Hand.

But I told myself my next buy would be a M1A.

Pro is that I can buy the 6HL Varmit shipped to my door since I already have my lower and it would cost me 700ish for the upper, stock and LPK.

Con, its not the M1A haha

The M1A is about 1300$ which gets alot of attention from the boss and throws a yellow flag cuz its $$$.
The M1A would need to be DROSed of course, but my FFL dealer is on vacation till mid Oct!!

what should I do!!!

In addition
After reviewing the Std and Loaded, the Loaded seems to be the way to go. Also theres two different choices in the Barrel as well, Blued or Stainless Steel, So of course I have to choose Stainless. The stainless Loaded standard model is 1484$ at Buds while the Blued or Chromemoly is 1409$

M1A, bros. It's a totally different beast. I built three AR's in 5.56 and after changing it up with the M1A, the AR got old. Also, going down range and hitting steal at over 600 yards consistently gets addicting!~:43:

+1 Brother! I always catch myself pulling out my LRB just to look at it. It's a work of art.

At least get a "LOADED" for the heavier NM barrel -- Not much more.

+1, if your gonna do it, you might as well DO IT. I see it worth the extra $109.

The standard vs. Loaded is a HUGE step up... at a very nominal price. SS >>> bare steel.

I hit 600yd metal consistently with my AR varmint rifle. 600yds is nothing. Difference in ping is noticeable.

They're different beasts and you should definitely have both. Order doesn't matter much. Here's how you make these decisions. Which one makes you excited? Which one can you afford to use? Knowing how much less you'll be able to shoot 308 (about 50% more expensive, which means 2/3 as much shooting) are you just as excited? If yes, get the M1A. If not...

I think you contacted me before about your M1A, I still like a synthetic stock though!
