I recently read (I think here) a quote somebody posted from Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn that went something like:
"when Solzhenitsyn came to the US, somebody asked him what he admired most about our government. He replied, "Your bill of rights." They responded, "Oh, you must mean the first amendment - the protection of free speech?" He replied, "No, your Second Amendment, for it is the one that gives teeth to all the others."
I can't find that quote anymore. I think the poster was paraphrasing in the post I read anyways (maybe not). Does anyone know what the original quote was? Or where to find it cited?
Thanks
