I was having some issues with my Colt upper and the gas system. Colt notched the barrel off center so the gas port was off center with the front sight. So I had cycling issues. I took it up to M24, an while I was up there we BSed and put one together with some parts I brought. I needed something for the time being.

So heres the new upper. It's my first 1/7, I have never owned one. Its a Carbine and I hardly own any of those either.

Build is;

LMT 1/7 16in barrel
Ops inc hider/adapter
Key hole marked upper:shrug: found it in my box of parts
DD lite rail
M16 BCG
PRI gas buster charging handle
ARMS 40L

And thats about it, looking forward to shooting some heavier loads.

And also taking to some Carbine classes, my other upper is a 18'' and I think I will do better with this.

Ahhh I was on my way up to M24's. I like the stock It feels good, and its light.

FDE is getting on my nerves though, I stain it black when I shoot alot and my hands get black from reloading dirty mags.

It's a hider, I got it for $80 but I think they go for more. I am waiting on the collar to arrive.

Actually, the keyhole is the mark of the the company that did the original forging. In this case that would be Cerro.

OPS inc Makes mostly breaks now. This hider is old, can't find it on the web now.

That's cool, I like old collectible things like that. A few years back I saw something similar only it was custom made by a arf guy. His name started with M like mongrel or badger. It was priced $120 or $110. Makes a mean recce spr. :43:

Looks nice, buddy.

Get some 77gr BH SMKs and see what she can do.

+1... several cutters use Cerro.
