Calgunners,

The "Gen III" models have arrived, and we can ship on Friday. All warranty claims should be fulfilled by the end of next week.

While the "Gen II" model has been much more reliable than the first batch, I'm not satisfied and I expect the Gen III to be the best yet. If the subpar reliability/build quality issues continues with this round of scopes, I will likely throw in the towel on selling these. Of course, I will always be here to assist with any service needs. However, we do not wish to be associated with a $1500 scope that can not reach Chinese levels of reliability. We tried hard to work with you in the design and delivery of this scope. On paper, there is nothing like it for the money with its features and reticle. But, the scope must work in a practical sense. We can not control the manufacture and quality of these scopes, but we can stop selling them.

To date, about 18/150 (12%) of all the scopes sold have had to be returned for one reason or another. So you have a 88% chance of being happy (how's that for positive spin).

Also, the long awaited 9-36x56 (with exposed tactical knobs) and the new 4-28x56 w/40mm tube are in this shipment, so if you have been waiting, now is your chance.

Price for the SH scope is still $1495 with IOR V-Tac rings, caps, and ARD. Seekins rings are available in limited quantity, but the upcharge will be $50.

As always, thanks for your kind support.

Scott

Can you tell us or link us to what problems have been showing up in the second gen SH scopes? Mines been perfect so far, but I'd like to see what people have been having trouble with.

That kind of stuff I've posted over at Sniper's Hide. It's really proprietary and I shouldn't have done that. Only a couple have broke in the second batch, on hard kicking firearms.
