If Obama were to get into office and surprisingly:rolleyes: come out with a new AW ban is it required that he offerers registration for the people that hold OLL or do they just confiscate them.

With every gun ban thus far, it's always been limitations, and registrations.

That way, they think, they are not violating KEEP or BEAR.

You can keep it, you just can't buy it.

1. It's useless to speculate on an unwritten law.

2. There is not/will not be enough votes in House/Senate for Fed AW ban,
esp after Heller. Middling Democrats are running from the Demo gun platform and are trying to pass further gun law relaxations for DC.

3. For gunnies, this election is all about the Supremes.

There was no registration with the last Federal AW ban.

Ditto on all of the above. The last AWB passed by only one vote and Congress is a lot more pro-gun-rights today than it was then. There isn't going to be another AWB no matter who wins.

It's all about the Supremes and the federal circuit courts.

You should be more worried about who he will appoint to the Supreme Court. We don't need liberal activists trying to re-interpret the Constitution. If we want to reap the benefits of the Heller decision Obama needs to stay out of office.

Executive Order??

How far could Obama take Executive Order privilege to invoke a gun ban?

I know of a certain lady that has a lot of followers who would be thrilled if she were to get a nod for one of those seats.

Add that to the list of reasons to vote (R)

He can do just about anything he wants by executive order. If the people will swallow it. We are still armed you know. We have been living under a not very well published state of emergency for decades. This gives the pres pretty much dictatorial powers if he chooses to exercise them. The only restraint is the outrage of the people. Sorry.

We still have a executive order in place reclassifying three models of 12 guage shotguns as destructive devices.

All three models complied with the objective standards of the GCA68, but when Clinton got into power, they said the guns were not suited for sporting purposes.

Striker 12, Streetsweeper and the USAS Shotgun(AR15 on Steroids).

Everything I've heard suggests that they'd have to give you the opportunity to register OLLs...

In reality, who knows. It's nebulous, at best...
