I have old 30rnd AR mags that are dented and the followers stopped moving smoothly. Lots of miles on these with .223 sent down range.
The only solution is to rebuild these babies back to spec so they function properly again.
Problem...I need all the parts to change them but I don't want to be accused of building new mags.
If I had known back in the day that my mags would be "Cali collectors items" I would have bought a gross of steel mags and rat holed them away.
20/20 hind sight.
Can anybody help me out with legal suggestions?
Thanx.

www.44mag.com will sell you rebuild kits including all the parts required to repair your old mags.
You could even repair them into Pmags.

The general recommendation is to keep and flatten your old bodies as proof that you owned them before
in case anyone were to question why you now have new large capacity mags.

There are people who support this site that are competitive... AlohaRover comes to mind.

44mag.com has done this for a long while, though.

He also does'nt charge to disassemble the magazines unlike 44mag.com.
