Nice...
You made yourself a BM-59!
(I assume 7.62x51 because of M-14 mags)
How long (time) and how much did it cost in total?

Beautiful rifle! :D

You started with a regular Garand or was it already a "tanker?"

Good job!

I love the look of your tanker. How do you like the muzzle brake? Trying to talk myself into buying one for my tanker.

Remember guys, he's in Sweden.
No small task putting things like this together in many european countries...

Congrats on the fine work.
It's coming along nicely.

the rifel has served in the US army in Germany its a Herrington & Richardson
its a 5667xxx.
the smith lives in Germany and he is a licensed German gunsmith, who previosly worked for the U.S. Army here in Germany, from 1977 until 1993. First as a quality control Armament specialist, Foreman of a small arms repair, and finally as chief of the small arms repair division. During my many years with the army I gained a fairly deep insight, into the various weapons systems employed by the U.S. Forces.

Wow, that Zeiss Diarange is probably the nicest scope I've ever seen sitting on top of a milsurp.

ETSS might be able to help you. I know they export guns to Sweden, so they should be able to get the permit for a mount. It will probably cost you a bit though...

Very nice! For Southern Californians Northridge Int sold a conversion like this some years ago. They chamber sleeved the barrel to 7.62 and modified the receiver to take M14 magaines. Don't know who did the work for them.

Very nice conversion Jens -

There was just a thread regarding someone doing a .308 conversion to these -
