Okay, so everything is complete, the only problem is when I put the lower reciever into the upper, the rear pin doesn't lock in. Of course it doesn't lock in because I feel like theres about 1mm worth of room where the upper is not going down enough...anything that can cause this?

How are the tolereances? Is it just meant to be this tight any tricks for locking that rear pin in place?

The front pivot pin is in place...can't lock the rear.

You may have tightned the stock buffer tube too tight. The tube does'nt have to be tight up against the buffer pin, try backing it out an 1/8-1/4 turn. That may be blocking the upper from fully seating.

You may have screwed the buffer tube into the lower 1 to 2 turns too much.

post a picture of your lower with the upper removed showing the buffer retainer.

The only reason I know is because I did that on my build.

Hey, how far along the rail should i mount the eotech?

Doesn't matter... completely personal preference.

Two schools of thought:

-far forward gives more unobstructed view (probably best for fast heads-up shooting)

-far back gives wide field of view through the EOtech.
