Looking for any info, I want to go first thing in the morning. I checked the BLM website and Found some places. I just want to hear any success stories, or get pointed at the right place to start.

Thanks.

Not meant as thread-crapping, but consider this post:

May I ask, what's your hog gun? What's it weigh?

Feral hog hunting is the only form of hunting I have considered. They all must perish.

Thanks for the reply.....

Hog gun of choice is my .458 socom, its light weight and I have had plenty of success with it on hogs.

Most folks are hunting deer at this time of the year.

I reserve deer for in Idaho...I'm off to do a controlled doe hunt next month.
I hunt hog year round. And just moved up to Sac and don't know where to hunt around these parts.

I have heard from a couple of different people (but no personal experience) that Red Bluff up north of Sac is supposed to be pretty good for pigs.

If you find somewhere good closer to Sac please do let me know :-)

I have seen 3 pigs in the 5 trips to cache creek. I saw 15 to 20 in a group at indian valley reservoir but it was dark when they came out and ran across the road . The hills around there have pigs but not a lot of water.
