View Full Version : Surefire muzzle brakes/Suprressors?

I was wondering if anyone had experience with the surefire muzzle brakes.
As far as I can tell from thier website, you cant really buy the muzzle break seperate from the suppresor, although you can (from what it sounds like) remove the suppressor portion of it and just have the brake. Is this correct?
From what I read, I saw that the surefire has a ratchet system to remove/install the suppressor and brake.

Im curious if I could take a legally owned suppressor such as the surefire from nevada and remove the suppressor and use the brake.

Yea it can be done if you have deep pockets. You need proof you live in NV and a nice little tax stamp thats about 200 bucks and after the paperwork is complete and uncle sam says ok then you get to sell out the between 600 and 1000 (or more for some) on the brake and can. Over a grand so you can have a brake? Well seems about pointless IMO.
