They are a good gun, I have the newer 7400 model. What do you want to know?
There is alot of bad press regarding these guns FTF, stove pipe, ect... I have never had any of these problems, or any other, and I have hundreds of rounds through it.
You can go to Brownells and they have the schematic for the gun if part are needed, not alot of aftermarket items for them, and your optics shouldn't require anything more than a good 3x9x40mm.
I have a compact 3x9x40mm, with a one piece weaver rail, and rings I can shoot with my iron sights, or the scope.
You can shoot almost anything from coyote, to Elk, the 30-06 has a nice selection of different weight grains to choose from, and you can buy 30-06 ammo anywhere in the States.
