Gonna be hard to find one now. I got mine a few years back. You may also have issues getting the skeleton stock in california, depending on your dealer. The skeleton stock that is "fixed" still rotates a bit and does collapse a very minor amount, but could still be considered a collapsible stock by the letter of the law, and would be a problem.

Mine is the solid stock version.

Good luck tracking one down, and if you do... Jump on it. They are awesome fun to shoot.

yes you can get one, but you have to get a fixed stock, PG plus folding stock on a simiauto shotgun = AW

If you don't need the flag or the fake collaspable stock just buy an M4 same gun. 1400 to 1800 bucks.

In retrospect I should have bought the 3 or 4 that came across my path and just to turn them for a few bucks.

Not exactly. The M4 comes with a lighter barrel that uses chokes, a much more "retail" product. The M1014 has the same heavy barrel that the is on the USGI version, and accepts no chokes. There are a few other differences that you can find on the Benelli forum or google.

The commercial M4s do have chokes, but the barrel weight issue has been put to rest before. Here's a quick measure on the barrel O.D.s on a M4 (11703) and M1014 side by side ...

M1014 M4
1.260" 1.265" At receiver
1.157" 1.155" At collar
0.868" 0.863" At handguard
0.837" 0.830" At mag extension
0.922" 0.918" At front sight
0.922" 0.922" At muzzle
0.702" 0.702" Bore I.D.

Later M4s (11707) did have a change to the barrel extension piece, adding a collar which butts against the receiver.

Also, the "low recoil rounds" barrels on the early commercial M4s (11703) did have some differences (4 larger gas ports and changes to the gas plugs), though even these measured the same basic O.D.

dont sit around wishing you could have one and settle with an 870 or a 500
go get yourself one! they are worth the money and will be if you ever decide
to get rid of it
