I am putting a reflex sight on my USC and am looking for input. I intend on using the carbine for CQB 3 gun matches and will in general not be engaging anything over 50 yards.
The usual suspects are:
-Aimpoint COMPM3
-Eotech 512
-Acog x1.5 (the only magnified optic on the list)
-Other
-No reflex sights

I am a huge EoTech fan and I don't believe you can ever go wrong with one.

EoTech still feels like it was worth every penny and performance, as my buddy refers to it... "is like CHEATING".

I love EOTechs, but I wouldn't pick one for a USC due to the poor cheek weld you'd get.

I would suggest going with one of the compact Aimpoints - like the T-1.

Someone else mentioned a nice trick right now of using a 20% off on eBay.

I like the idea of the T-1. Lightweight with a 4 MOA dot, which is a good thing for a 45 acp. About the same price as any other quality optic with the same features. Good advice per usual UCLA, thanks.

Any other perspectives?

I forgot to mention the Burris Fastfire or a Docter optic... cheap, quick, small, light.

I am considering the Trijicon TA24-2 with my USC. Has anyone had any noteworthy experience with the USC in use with an Aimpoint, Trijicon, or EOTECH?

I am also considering sticking with irons just to be budget conscience....

personally I would never want a magnified optic on a sub-gun, but these are really just range toys, so you'd be fine. The only issue with an ACOG is the height above the normal cheek weld position.

I'd really like something that cowitnesses the irons, but they're mounted low and my HDPS rail is pretty tall.... I'm not even sure a T1 will do it. Both my FastFire and cheapie knock-off are too high.

I’m a big fan for EOTECH would work well on the HK but I fell the Aimpoint will work a little better. For HK the EoTech sits a little to high that is why I would recommend the Aimpoint. But again the EoTech would work just fine.
