I have a few questions and just wanted to see if you guys can help me out. Perhaps quide me through the right directions so i can play by the rules.

1. Is it possible to have an ak47 with an underfolder? If so where can i purchase this parts. Ive seen a few members have them under the picture gallery.

2. Is it legal to conver the saigas in california. What is your opinion on the 7.62 * 39 saigas.

Just stay within the 922r restrictions and you're good (read: use only good ol' U.S. parts); that caliber is very popular. Not much more recoil/report than the .223 and said to be a better defensive round. Shot one the last week and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Must have a FIXED magazine, and OAL must be more than 30 inches with the stock folded. . .

* fixed magazine includes bullet buttons.

a folding stock is considered an evil feature, thus you would need to have a fixed magazine. Also would need to meet a minimum length requirement.

The Saiga is a great gun, well built, reliable, and more accurate than just about any other AK on the market. It's also priced better than any other AK at the moment. What can I say, the Russians do it right.:D

Here's the info you want.

You'd need a bullet guide and some small mods to the receiver, as well as 922(r) compliance.

hell, kill 2 birds, a saiga underfolder. you'll need a stock/rear trunnion fron anything except yugo. you'll need to permanantly attach a muzzle device to maintain 30" OAL in either case.

you can go with a 4 inch extension on the muzzle or pin the stock open for the 30 inch oal.
