Anyone know where 10 round AK mags can be had for cheap? 10/30s are cool too if they're reasonably priced.

Look for Chinese 5 rd mags for sale on this board or other boards. You should be able to pick them up for around $10-12. Replace the follower with a Tapco follower and you had a 10 rd mag.

I got my 10 rd promags from bullseye sports at the last gunshow in Del Mar. Not bad for 12 bucks. I checked their website and they don't seem to have any...darn

Bought a few of those $10 magazines off of Cheaper than Dirt the other day.

They look and feel just like any other magazine and hold exactly ten rounds. Just got them so I can't say if they have feeding problems when shooting, but so far no hang ups while hand ejecting rounds.

Here's a "$10 off orders over $10" promo code, 1885-6508
IIRC, it expires in September... if it works for you...

I was looking at those. The reviews on the website said they were cheeseball. Maybe I'll get one or two. For the price they'd make cool paperweights if they don't work as mags.

Replace the follower with a Tapco follower and you had a 10 rd mag.IMO, this is the way to go. The Chinese 5-rounders are high quality. The Tapco followers are only a couple bucks each, and you get another U.S.-made part that way.

Not dissing anybody who buys from CTD, but I'd never buy spit from them, because of their anti-CA-gunner policies. Plus those cut/spot-welded mags of theirs are really poor quality. The Chinese ones are the real deal.

ETA: I was going to post a couple of links to active FOR SALE threads in the "Private Firearms Parts" forum, cuz there's been several people recently selling these mags, but they're all sold out! Those things go fast when they come up.

Oh, and you can just cut the stock followers with a dremel if you don't want to shell out for the Tapco followers.

Avoid the CTD magazines. They're are just plain bad. Tried 2 of them on two different AKs, horroble fit (loose), and feed problems. Sent them back.

S.O.G. has Romanian double stack 10rds mags for about $5 each. It's not on their website, so you have to call.

We have a bunch of different types of AK 10 round and 10/30 magazines in stock.

http://www.adxtactical.com/store/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=33

We do not sell any of the cheap $5 magazines. I have tried them out, and all I can say is they work in some rifles and not so well in other rifles.

You also get the Calguns.net Forum Member Discount, just set up an account on our website and email us. We will activate your discount code which is always on and can be used on virtually all of the products we sell.

It helps to save a a little more $$

Hope this helps.

Got lucky like a few of the CTD reviewers did, as my mags are in good condition and have worked so far*, even saved $10.
Buyer beware and all that I guess.

Thanks for posting the link to your store Addax, plan on buying a few sometime soon.
Spent the better part of a day searching online for magazines before going with CTD, even went to the Calguns sponsor page and looked. Seems like everyone was out of stock or didn't have what I needed.:(

*edit: for Par-1 rifle

So if I took one of these... (http://www.adxtactical.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=33&idproduct=135)

And replaced the follower with this... (http://www.adxtactical.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=33&idproduct=1053)

I would have a 10-rd mag?
