I was lookin at CWS and that AR-10T. I think it's a triple lapped 24" ss barrel. That's cool, but I usually like the color of my barrel to match or whatever. Actually, scratch that. I don't care... I can get a real shiny match trigger and a silver Leupold to put on it and impress myself with it HAHAHAHAHAH
But no, seriously. I'm thinking this... bear in mind that I have a TON of chrome AR-15 parts...
-AR-10T upper w/24" ss barrel
-Aero .308 lower (buying pivot and takedown pin and mag catch)

And here's the problem. I'm stupid. Yes, I said it. :P Here's what I don't know. With an AR-10 I'm hearing that the buffer spring and buffer are different, as well as the actual buttstock. So let's say I buy an AR-10 PRS stock. Where can I get buffers and springs and all that other stuff (individually) for an AR-10? I already have rifle length AR-15 stuff, and nice stuff at that, but if it doesn't work with AR-10s let me know. The word I heard was that AR-10s take the same parts as AR-15s except for the things I listed. Sooo... what do I need, and why are they different on an AR-10?

The buffer tube is the same. You will need a different buffer and spring. The AR10 version of the PRS has a shorter cheekpiece so that when you adjust the cheekpiece up, it doesn't get in the way of the longer pull of the charging handle on the AR10's.

AR10 items can be bought directly from Armalite.

Get yourself a Noveske N6. They are only $100 more and they have a name that everyone who knows AR15/AR10s knows. You can get an AR10 LPK minus trigger from ArmaLite and then add a really nice trigger with part of the money you saved. There are about 4 parts (Bolt release, and both upper pins and maybe another part) that are different in the ar10 parts kit.

You may want to look at ArmaLite at the Eagle Arms uppers. They had them on sale and they are very nice. I picked up a 20" medium upper and really like it. I have a 24"T ArmaLite upper in 22-250 and that is a tank compared to the easy handling of the 20" medium.

The Eagle uppers have black chrome moly barrels. I got the complete upper in 20" for $600 shipped to my house from ArmaLite.

The Noveske lower is nice, but hard to justify at $100 more than the nearly identical Aero lower. DSG Arms has all the parts needed for building up the AR-10 with the exception of the charging handle:

I'd recommend getting the Buffer Tube, Spring and Buffer at the same time you get the PRS. Most places you order a PRS from will know that you need the accessories specific to a 308 ... but make sure you tell them, the PRS, etc is for a 308.
