I shoot there a lot, great place with great people. For my AR I shoot XM193 or remington reloads. No steal core allow...if you're not sure of the round is steel they will use a magnet and of that doesn't work will cut it open.

Whoa, seriously?! I thought they would only let you use .22 or frangible! But I have plenty of XM193, damn. This is what I've always wanted, a place to go after work and blow off steam.

"steel cased"? I dont think that is what jeffboy meant. He said "steel core" that is in the bullet.

Yes, steel core in a no no. I don't know of any indoor ranges that allow steel core rounds.

I didn't know Jackson Arms allow AR rifles for shooting. So they are OLL friendly range?

they are oll friendly as long as your rifle is cali compliant or a registered aw with papers.

steel cased, lead core is allowed. I bought a crap load of Brown Bear 5.56 from City Arms and used it at Jackson. Nice people and range, but it gets really busy sometimes!

Lead is fine...steel is a no go.

It can get pretty busy in there too...but that's a good sign. :D

Jackson Arms is definately OLL friendly, infact if you peak behind the counter, you will see a couple OLLs of the employees

I was shooting my OLL there, good range, but the AR is a bit of an overkill for such a short indoor range.

Jackson Arms is in South City right? The South City PD shoot there and I can promise you (at least one of them) know nothing about OLL's. I "got" the chance to explain the law to a "nice" South City officer a few weeks ago.

the steel core ammo has been covered by everyone else, but our other limitation is that no rounds that travel faster then 3400fps. also we don't really care what kind of ammo you put through your guns, but if you do rent guns from us you do have to purchase our ammo.

as far as ammo that we carry, we haven't had factory in a VERY long while, actually we got our first case of factory about a month ago, since then nada. we have a very limited supply of PMC 223, for now.

thank you everybody for all the great reviews.

Any limitations on caliber?

Nah (except no BMG), which is pretty funny... a .510 at 3390 fps would be ok, but a 22-250 at 3410 would not. ;)
