My father has a Winchester 94 which he has not shot in over 15 years and I was looking into how to disassemble it and clean it. Does anyone here have any suggestions on how to go about this?

Here is a link to a page about disassembling a Winchester 94:

I hope that helps.

Good luck with that.
I've done it once...that was enough.
The real trick is getting it back together. Not hard or confusing, just frustrating. Look for a book with a complete disassembly guide with pictures. I have access to one if you're in the Monterey area.
If you doing it only out of concern for functionality, don't. I haven't seen said rifle, but I'd say it will work fine. Just clean the best you can without full disassembly.
But, If you're doing it as a project, just to say you did it, then go for it and have fun.
