I got most of the parts from a GOOD fellow Calguner from his personal collection...Lower modified to fit USC, HDPS stock block, HDPS hinge pins. from him. I got an Extra FBI lower from Clydes Armory for another project. I milled the Upper myself and Installed a US trigger. Thanks.....P.S.... The UMP mag from JohnnyRambo.

Is the rifle Cali legal? Even with the raddlock and fixed 10 round magazine, the overall length of the rifle with the stock folded is less than 30" unless the stock is permanetly fixed.

The stock is perm. fixed, the overall length is over 30'', and is "Cali Legal" just like any rifle in this forum.

I wasn't questioning the legality of your rifle, I was just curious to know how yours was set up. Here's a pic of my UMP conversion that I had Ed @ HDPS do over a year ago with my LRB M-25. Nice rifles by the way.

What's that top rifle? An LRB M-25? Where can I get one of those? That is VERY sweet, and I assume you can drop mags?

You need the picatinny rails and the lightening cuts in the side of the receiver, too. I'm sending mine in for the lightening cuts. I've also been thinking about threading the barrel for a fake can to hide its "pencil" profile.

Got to shoot one of those in FA at my bachelor party. It's quite a rush, but unfortunately, it's just too light on FA! There's a reason the MP5 weighs more and uses the roller locking system. The reciprocating mass of the MP5 bolt is FAR LESS than that of the UMP.

Yours looks fantastic. I highly recommend dying the receiver, though. :p

wOW! That looks like fun:83: Where you go Vegas? Only if our state would let us have SBR's and Machine Guns...That would be the day:(

That was taken in Henderson, but we were in Vegas for the bachelor-ness. We went to Center Mass Firearms, which HAD FA rental at a reasonable price.

When we went back for SHOT show and stopped by, they had changed their policies. The FA rental was still the same price, but you could no longer buy a box of ammo and shoot until you were out. Their prices are PER MAGAZINE, now.

I've shot both FA, as well... and can't agree.

Were they both 9mm?

Yeah, both 9mm.

Plus, what's up with the stupidity of the new mags? They're easily twice the size of an MP5 mag!

I realize they were going for a less complex firearm with plastic molded parts, but c'mon.

It's for interchangeability. The plastic mags are "huge" because they're all the same size as the .45. By making them standard you can do simple caliber swaps.
