I know one of the shops in Turlock told me they would do an OLL transfer... it must have either been Alquist Arms (209) 667-5463 or more likely Schell's Sports shop (209) 634-5087

Just call and ask they'll tell you right away (one of them told me only the Cali bushmaster the other one said $65)

I don't know, that was just what the guy said. BUT I heard WAY worse just today. I asked a shop in town about doing an out of state transfer (from my father to me) the nutjobs told me they automatically charge $100 for "receiving" any firearm - then they will charge for the transfer. By the way we were talking about a handgun not even an OLL. For an OLL I imagine they would charge $100 to receive it, freak when they opened it, and charge $100 to send it away.

"Gunnrunner Gun Shop" in Merced.

On a side note from what I've pieced together, the closer you are to Modesto the more screwed you are when it come to an OLL.

Yeah I've come to that conclusion. I know a really good guy but he will be gone soon to the Sand Box. There is a good place in Livermore. Bit of a drive though.

Yes. honestly, I do not know. I bought a parts kit there, but I don't recall seeing lowers (wasn't looking). Try giving them a call just to be sure.

Schell's will do it for sure. I had mine sent there back in March. They did charge $65 though.

Sierra won't do anything but what they have in the shop(Vulcan with fixed mag.) Not sure if they will do a PPT.

Not sure if they will do a PPT.

I thought all dealers are required to do PPTs by law.

You would be right with regards to PPT's and common firearms. PPT's are mandated. However, if the FFL doesn't touch OLL's (thinks they're all AWs) he probably wouldn't have to do one.

offrdmania is looking for an FFL to 'transfer' the lower. When you call and find out what their transfer price is, please add it to the list here (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=63050).

The fine folks up in Ione, JK Supply will deal in OLL parts with no problem. Very knowledgeable about all things AK/AR type rifles. Real friendly, I had a very good experience with them.

These guys will accept ANY off list lowers. Give them a call. There is a place in Reedley also, but from my conversation they sounded pretty lame and scarred to do anything other than AR receivers.

Called on this- up to SAC- an FFL is REQUIRED to facilitate a transfer of firearm between two individuals. IF the DOJ, during the 10 day check deems the gun (in case of pistol) is Stolen or illegal, or buyer is ineligible, transfer will be halted. The Goons in SAC these days will simply tell a weary dealer that if the gun is not specified in the AW id guide, and gun does not have features outlined in AW def, Transfer must be completed by FFL.
