So I am ready to order a new AK47 here soon (DDI Wood model) and I have a couple Tapco mags and Bakelite mag so far already (limited of course) but wanting to buy a few regular range friendly 10 round mags.

Anyone used these new steel mags from Atlantic on their AK before? Any issues at all? (especially those with a DDI AK)???

Thanks so much for any feedback you can provide :)

KCI are Korean-made and not milspec but give the Tapco 10 round mag a run for the money. They are a bit thin in terms of the metal but for range use; they can't be beat...if u want to shell out a little more, you can get Polish training mags or the Chinese five rounders

I've never ran those mags, My go tos are those tapco 10s, or my chinese 5s. 10/30s are just a tease.

BUT I will give these a try, not a bad price

Got a source for the Polish or Chinese mags? Most places that have either want about $20 each mag. Can almost buy some Arsenal 10 round mags for that price!

Talk to Audiophil, I'm pretty sure he offers this service. Ship the mags to him, he'll block them and route them your way after.

I prefer the atlantic mags to tapcos. I think steel is better long term if you keep them dry

I recommend Jestice Arms. Recently ordered some blocked checkmate M1A mags from them, they are GTG!

I am gonna say use the 10/30 because:

1) muscle memory familiarity with rest of planet
2) easier to hold on and insert
3) can be used as monopod in prone
4) look way cooler
5) can be converted to 30s in red dawn zombie fantasy.
