View Full Version : Scar bullet button question?

Is there a bullet button like the rad lock on air-15s that allows the scar to drop mags like it was designed to do when out of California? I have been told that no one makes one, including rad lock ( I have currently a rad lock but it doesn't allow unscrew for when I'm out of state) , and was told last night that someone does? I did my Google fu and couldn't figure it out, thanks!

Or is the one I have already (raddlock) designed to be switched out?

I believe all Raddlock have that feature...

Is this the one you have?

It is pretty simple to unscrew and take the mag release block off and then put back on.

I looks the same but I am not sure as they gave me a bag of parts with the gun and told me not to loose them as they were the original mag release.

The raddlock design is attached to the mag release on each side via a screw. If you're out of state, just unscrew it. It won't negatively affect any other part so you're good to go.

It's good to go. Just unscrew the one screw.

Yeah the raddlock that you have is gtg. That's what I do with my scar when I'm out of state.. I just unscrew the 1 screw and remove the cover and I'm ready to drop mags!! Once I'm done I just screw back one and I'm back to cali...

tagged to go to one of above sites to get a Raddlock for my Scar 17. Mine came w a god awful metal type plate type w a tiny hole that needs a punch almost to properly release the mag!! Has broken tips off .223 bullets before!
