WTS…
UNFIRED, Brand new CARBON FIBER DETAILED stainless steel barrel!! This is a 16” Barrel and was a very custom order from an incredibly good custom gunsmith. This barrel has carbon fiber laid along it, except for where the gas block is installed. This barrel looks AMAZING in person, the pictures hardly do it justice! It is chambered in .223 Wylde, has never been fired, mounted, or even place on a receiver!! It has a serial number and paper work confirming the manufacturer’s work and a test target for accuracy where it was shot from the factory. The barrel is almost $800 from the custom barrel shop, but you can get this PRISTINE work of art from me for only $675.

For reference, the AR on the bottom of this pic has ABS carbon-wrapped barrel ... and I can attest to the high quality (and cost) of one.

Do you know approximately when this barrel was made?

I'm sorry, but the barrel is currently in storage (dry, indoors, kept with moisture-absorbing material in the same package, and climate controlled) so I can't just look at the paper real quick, but I think it might have been made a year or two ago. Please don't quote me on that, because it's just a ballpark estimate. It hasn't been sitting around for 10 years or anything.

Thanks very much for the reference, man. I appreciate it. If you're around the east bay let's go shooting! :D

Question... .223 Wylde is that the same as the regular .223 chambering? Or is that a totally different round like the bushmaster 450?

A wylde chamber allows you to more safely fire both .223 and 5.56 ammunition. A rifle chambered outright for .223 can have problems firing 5.56 ammo, as the case dimensions are slightly off.

Nice barrel, btw.

If it was longer than 16 I'd have put an offer in already. :)
