Ok, so I am new to the world of shotguns.
I just picked up a stock Remington 870 Express and I am looking for some good suggestions on how to spend more money on it. :43:
Any help is much appreciated!

I got the Surefire light. It cost almost as much as the gun! I bought a shell holder that goes onto the receiver. I took it off since it would bind up the action. Instead I went with a shell holder that goes on the stock. Pistol grips seem to transfer too much recoil into my wrists so I stayed away from them. I read slings get caught on doornobs if you plan to use it for home defense.

Very. If you get the Wilson Cobat it comes with instructions.

Its it as new express or old? Does the brl ring have the ball detent? Does the mag tube have dimples? Ids the forend the long sporting forend or the short LE forend?

Those things will all impact what accessories you can use.

On my 870's i like an 18" Brl, standard 4 round mag tube upgraded with remington factory police mag spring and wilson combat follower. Surefire forend. Tacstar 4-round side saddle. Daniel Defense receiver plate sling loop and a quality single point sling.

Thats everything you need on a fighting 870, wont break the bank and the weapon wont weigh a ton set up like that. spend the rest of your money on training. Louis Awerbuck and Rob Haught are great instructors. Bill Murphy's students turn out pretty well too.
