Here is what I could find..

XM193C is sold in 20 round black AE boxes.
XM193 is sold in 20 round plain brown cardboard boxes
XM193A is sold in 30 round boxes containing 3 10 round clips
all are the same ammo it appears.

I would take it then that the 'c" stands for Commercial packaging.
