Wow..the video in #3 is almost unbelieveable. How could anyone with even a tiny bit of a brain take away peoples only defenses in that situation? How did they get away with the trampling of peoples rights, and I surely hope the court system is clogged with enough lawsuits that would stop a repeat of such a travesty in a future disaster?

It is also eye opening especially for those of us in kalifornia. Our most likely scenario of a major earthquake seems even worse than that in N.O. The damage would be much more widespread, and likely result in an even larger and longer lasting damage to the communication infrastructure. We also probably have a much greater number of armed gang bangers with criminal intent to worry about that are probably just itching for a few weeks of anarchy.

So what can a law abiding, armed citizen do when the storm troopers crash your door down in a post disaster scenario? Can you tell them to get the eff out? Engage in a firefight that is sure to be a losing proposition to the citizen? Or just bend over, give the gestapo their booty, and prepare to die at the hands of the roving bands of gang bangers?

Americans have no rights, if they are not willing to stand up for them, and exercise them. I would have never allowed those cops to confiscate my weapons. In a situation like that, I would have made it real clear that no one was coming onto my property without a fight.
