Can it be done? Or does the Bicycle fall under the same rules as transporting a handgun in a motor vehicle?

There is no difference between a bicycle, a motor vehicle, or walking, when it comes to Open Carry. If you are talking about concealed carry, that is a different matter entirely.

Brakes and gears FTW :D
Unloaded open carry is legal. Nothing prevents you from carry a holstered UNLOADED firearm in the open....including on a bicycle.
Follow ALL vehicle laws, and those exclusively for bicycles.

I used to roll gears and brakes...so I can't talk caca...
But a bike with gears just don't look right to me anymore:nuts:
Maybe when I'm old, senile, and on Viagra...it'll make perfect sense:D

Get yourself a nice roomy Carradice bag, I have one and it's been perfect for carrying heavy gear.

That's sweet. You know what would be sweeter is a rifle scabbard with an M1A shoved in it...giving myself ideas...
