I must have done it with my wedding ring. Not really such a big deal, but it bugs me.

Any product that's been useful for you?

leave it. it's nice when guns look used. I drop my guns on cement and beat them with chains to get that "antique look."

consider it wear and tear...

plus, it just adds "the look" to it. ;)

of course it should NOT affect how it shots.

How deep is the scratch? If its too deep you probably wont be able to "buff it out." And even surface scratches are difficult to "buff out"

If its a Nitron slide then its probably material from your wedding ring on the slide. It'll come out over time with use and cleaning. My wife scratched a brand new Sig 226 slide and after a little while of usage it came out. Don't worry about it.
