I've had a new pistol bug for the last few weeks, and today I decided I was going to get something and I would not come home empty handed, well at least a DROS in hand.

I had at least narrowed it down to a Glock 19/23, a M&P(9 or .40), HK P2000 or P200SK 9mm(have the P2000 .40 and love it), and lastly a Sig 226(again 9 or .40).

So I go to my local TURNERS, I know you guys love to bash them, but I have never had anything but good service and easy transactions with them, and have been known to get some good prices every now and then. I go in and start the window fogging/crouching.

I ask to see the M&P, I have never held one before, but it felt nice, I liked it it, turns out they didn't have any mags in them as they accidentally came with high capacity mags. Nice gun at a good price, may have to get one.

Next the HK P2000Sk, as I said earlier I have the P200 in .40 with LEM and love that gun, it just feels so good in the hand for me. Well to me the SK version is just a tad too small, I don't care for the way my hands falls off the grip. Now do I want a P2000 in 9, Hmmm sounds nice.

The Glock I used to have in both 19 and 23, so I am familiar with it, I sold them both off a long long time ago, but I have been thinking of maybe picking up another some day soon. Could this be the day?

Finally the SIG 226. I have had a 229 in .40 for almost 10 years now, and have always enjoyed that gun. Reliable, accurate, and a pleasure to shoot. The 226 felt as if it were made just for me, it felt perfect in my hands, it aimed like it was part of me. Solid(yeah I know the others are polymers) and substantial in feel.

Well after a bit of comparing and some deep thoughts, I told the lady who was helping me.

I'll take the...........

Sig 226ST in .40 w/NS. Can't wait to pick up this bad boy, and get a .357 barrel for it. The 11th is going to be a good day, 1st I'm gonna go pickup a new 3G iPhone, then swing by and pick this sweet thing up and head over to the range.

Great gun!!!

My First SIG was a 226 Nitron...those ST's are sweeet shooters!

Watch out, SIG much like Tribbles tend to multiply...I didn't believe it till I owned one, now I will be buying my next one in Sept.

Congrats,

RFB

YES...u dodged the tupperware :D

Nice photo skills btw...congrats.

I snagged this photo online. I take no credit for it. Remember mines still in a safe at the dealers for 9 more days.

And yes, I figured I have enough plastic pieces right now. Sometimes a nice heavy steel gun just feels right.

Catch the 10mm bug and get a Delta or g20 (then add a 6 inch barrel)

Congratulations on the P226 Stainless! The SIG Stainless series are my favorite pistols. :drool5:

Now for the wait...the first ten day wait will seem like an eternity. Keep a stiff upper lip!
