You can get a Glock 17 in the range of $540 to $570 in the Bay Area. The problem is finding a store with a decent stock on hand. I believe Glock is still 100k units behind, but that's internet rumor. 9mm Glocks sell quick even in handicapped Cali. Another rumor I heard was that prices will be going up again soon (perhaps this month).

I saw a G34 and G35 recently at Discount Gun Mart in San Diego. Both had adjustable rear sights, the 34 was priced at 649.99 and the 35 at 669.99

From what I've been told, Glock prices have gone up over the last year or so.

Look for used, that's the best bet. I paid 550(620 O.T.D.) New G17 picked up a used G26 only 200 rds. through it 300$ and my G21 was 502$ new. Sometimes you can find the good deals. In San Jose L.C. Action has the best deals but you need to be L.E. or Guard card. Merkells in Santa Rosa gives wholesale prices to all,he has a pretty good selection to.

The long slide Glocks are the more high end models because of the extra metal. I've bought my brand new G35 (similar to G34, but in a different cal.) for $600, which included tax and delivery. And I love it.

Find the one that's less expensive and get a good FFL dealer that won't charge you an arm and a leg. That's what I did.

Join the GSSF and get their fancy discount for a Glock.

$400 for a G17 and $500 for a G34. The only thing is you can only get them at Second Amendment Sports or L.C. Action. But if you're over 200 miles away from one of them, there's an FFL that'll ship to you. Tho' that'll make the overall price go up.

Most common street price seems to be $550 for a 17 and $650 for a 34.
The long slides cost extra but they already come with extended slide release, magazine release and a 3lb connector.
In other words, they are a lot closer to being match guns than duty guns.

I usually go through glockworld.
Glock 34 9mm - $551.78
Glock 17 9mm - $459.00

...but WOW! In the previous post, GSSF has some fantastic pricing! I should have considered going that route about 3 glocks ago...:(

Well, the GSSF pricing is only good for one Glock per year and you really have to live close to one of the two CA dealers, else the savings get cut into real fast.

Where is the southern california GSSF dealer?

Same question here.

I was wondering if GSSF was going to stop this for CA residents due to the new FFL importation law. (DOJ approval before shipping)

We don't really have one, else I would have pulled out a Glock when my CZ decided to take a dive on me. The closest is Second Amendment Sports in Bakersfield. That's ~150 miles from me. That's 600 miles to DRoS it and then pick it up. That's roughly $120 in gas (rounded up). Unless there's some carpooling to get up there, it's not really worth it to me.

Or I could try to find some FFL down in SD to do the whole thing...

The way I understand it, what's going on is you get a LEO Glock at LEO prices. One thing that I've read is that people in CA get the Glock and see that the tag on the case says LEO and they pray to God Almighty that the FFL forgot to swap out the magazines. That or the FFL has removed the magazines entirely and the customer gets semi-shafted. It's $40 - $60 to get those magazines, while you just saved about $150 minus the GSSF membership fee.
