So I'm a member of a UK archery forum, and I hadn't noticed any thread regarding the recent Heller decision. So I posted this looking to see what our cousins across the pond thought of the decision.

Here's the thread (http://www.archery-interchange.com/forum/off-topic-week/17735-us-supreme-court-upholds-individual-right-bear-arms-your-thoughts.html)

This quote pretty much sums up the type of thinking that I would not like to see propagate throughout this country.

Personally, I would rather live at risk of being shot by an evil doer who I believed might be brought to justice, than to exercise my "right" to bear arms to protect myself.

Tell that guy he needs to turn over his man card. Mail him a box of tampons and a bottle of Johnson's No More Tears Baby Shampoo while you're at it.

My best friend spent most of his life in England and loves it here. Especially the 2A he is really into it, I take him on range trips and tell him about guns I just DROSed and he gets really pumped for them. He is very pro gun. If it wasn't for his step mom he would probably have a very good collection.

Keep in mind the internet is very very liberal, especially when it comes to chatrooms/forums/etc. I am sure there are plenty of Brits who don't like the fact that they cannot own guns.

Not surprising. They still bow to a monarch.

What do you expect they are subjects... we are citizens. That's what started all the trouble in the first place...

ZING! oooh! he did not!

This guy needs to consider the other ways of getting killed, not just being shot

what about being stabbed, clubbed, shelaghed, lanced, arrowed, speared, slashed, lacerated, beaten, ran over, mauled by tigers, cursed, lightning bolted, and other ways to receive 9999 damage

Forget all that. Is he willing to have to stand by while someone rapes his wife in front of him because he's unarmed and there are two intruders?

Death I can handle. There are worse things than being killed.

To the ****en Brit that is quoted on the OP. You are a lil ***** and I wish that you had a Man Card to begin with because if you did have a Man Card, you would not be making stupid coments like you did. Your queen must be really proud of you. Punk *****...

No handguns whatsoever. There isn't even an exemption for Olympic shooters. Their Olympic team must practice in Norway.

While the system in England looks like it's failing, and is probably beyond fixing, the few close friends of mine I have that both live in England or have immigrated here are all very pro-gun. The friends I have in England all own guns and shoot as often as they can, including with silencers! Hell, even Californians can't have those. heh.

Please, don't bash all of the English because of their messed up laws. It's just like here in California, and we get all bent out of shape when non-californians bash us because of the laws we could not prevent that keep us from owning what we would like.

There are people against us in every state and every country.
There are also people WITH us in every state and every country.

What does one expect from a group of people who eat animal guts and
blood pudding and call it a delicacy??

Old Winston must have road rash from all the truning he's been doing in his

Not particularly. Already have proof enough.

And considering their present and increasing socialist-induced dysfuction towards armaments and effective self-defense - banning knives, imprisoning people for defending themselves in their own homes, etc - I really don't think / expect the EUnichs to have anything of interest to say about it.

I know many Brits who are true hunters and shooters and who are horrified of the state that their country is in.
