I've seen a stainless steel slide on a glock once somewhere on the internet. Took forever to find it and don't remember where i saw it. Thought it looked very nice but not sure if it's really possible to get or if it even makes sense to get.... Would appreciate some insight from you experts out there...

A lot of them are also either hardchromed or NP3'ed

Lone Wolf has a big following on the Glock Talk forum.
I have a barrel from them for my Glock 35. I have had
no issues with it. They make slides for different models
in different lengths. They are made from 416 stainless.

Whats wrong with the stock slide? Personally, I like the tenifer finish

You might as well buy the steel frame too and add a thumb safety :D

There's a guy on SigForum that does polishing and he polished a Glock slide to a very nice mirror finish.
